Week #2 Library Lilly 2

Now I have,
I have registered for NSWpubliclibrarieslearning2.
Opened a Gmail account.
Created a new blog for recording my library adventures in technology.
Thanks supervisor for giving my technology search purpose.
How will my garden of library lillies grow?
Will it be lush, watered by comments?
Will Billy and I catch a technology feather?
Will it be golden, like the picture shows?
Already I have discovered a whole bunch of new stuff about blogging that I didn't look for before. Freedom grows = the capacity to say what I mean.
A new lilly is plucked.
It didn't have thorns, it was easy to do
now out with my camera for week #3.

Week #1 The First Library Lilly

This first lilly opened out as Robert Fry.

Someone who can worship Dr. Who and at the same time quote a poet and say,'You can never hope to recapture that first fine moment of careless rapture." This has resonance with my own experience of the first uploading of a photo of one of my own drawings to a blog, the first paragraph posted and the curious, unbelieving disbelief when a comment is left by the unseen, unknown, passerby.

When I began blogging at the invitation of a friend who insisted that I start I would have laughed at the idea that it could change my life. It did. Text is powerful, especially on the screen. It is flexible, movable and all that, just like the jaunty introduction presents. Now I am social. I can say what mean, take my time to say it, and what is even better is that other people can get me to respond. I can find out things with a lot less effort and store it for ron. I can show others what I do with all those hours I spend alone drawing and making without getting my tongue all tired and not saying what I mean.

Now I can say, 'Look!, here it is, have your own thoughts about it, or share them with me where I can see, maybe we, you and me plus some others can be a circle of friends with common interests with difference for spice'.
